New research at UGlos on seabird behaviour at sea


An article just out in Oikos, shows that individual gannets respond differently to cues that they encounter at sea.  Some birds seem to like areas rich in small crustaceans, and so will increase the amount of time they spend there, showing active searching for prey.  Others appear to be looking for something very different, and instead increasing their search for prey in response to temperature or phytoplankton.
